Our Rise programme is infamous for helping hundreds of young kickstart their careers in the creative, digital and tech industry, so why wouldn’t you apply? It’s a no-brainer. When it comes to interviewing for the programme, I’m always asked my advice on what people can do to ensure a good first impression (because we all know how important first impressions are). So, here’s my top 5 tips on what you can do to smash your interview with Agent Academy:
- Know your sh*t!
When it comes to nailing your Rise interview, preparation is key. Make sure you know your stuff about Agent Academy and our programmes. We want to make sure you know exactly what we do to ensure it’s the right fit for you.
- Share Your Passion.
We know in interviews it’s easy to fall into the trap of saying what you think the interviewer wants to hear, but this is not your typical interview. We want to know what you’re passionate about and what you enjoy doing. Love making videos? Shows us! Enjoy writing blogs? Tell us! Obsessed with social media? Prove it! We don’t care what it is, as long as you’re passionate!
- Get Ready to Collaborate
People are at the heart of everything we do, therefore collaboration is a massive part of the Rise programme. To see how you work as part of the team, we’ll set you a group challenge. Be prepared to work with others and think about how you can ensure that everyone’s included. It’s not about being the loudest in the group, but it’s definitely about sharing ideas.
- Ask. Ask. Ask.
You’ve undoubtedly heard it a thousand times, but there is no such thing as a stupid question, so ask away! I can guarantee that if you have a question in your head there are others thinking the same thing. Use the interview to find out if we’re the right fit for you.
- Be yourself (and have fun!)
It’s cliche, I know, but we really want you to feel comfortable to be your authentic self. We want to get to know the real you, learn about what you’re passionate about and what you dreams career is. The better we know you, the easier it is for us to help you.
The interview process for Rise is informal, welcoming and ultimately, a place where you can be yourself. Apply now to join our next programme in Greater Manchester – we can’t wait to meet you!
