Hi, I’m Scott Worrall. I have a passion for football and more specifically, the great Leeds United. It was this reason why I completed quite a unique course, studying Football Business and Media at the University Campus of Football Business, having graduated in 2022. While at university, I did work experience at The Redmen TV, a football fan channel built for Liverpool fans. While completing this placement, I appeared on live shows and worked as part of their social media team producing content. This really piqued my interest for social media content production, however, like many other graduates, I struggled to find a role in this field after university. I wanted to try find a way to get back into social media management, which lead me into Agent Academy.

Despite the fact that I had my sights set on social media management, after going through the Agent Academy curriculum and being on the programme, I came across various themes that sparked my interest. The one that stood out the most to me was account management, something I would never have considered otherwise.

The more I learned, the more I realised how much I enjoyed this field. I was impressed by the level of interaction account managers have with clients and how much they contribute to a company’s success.

Through Agent Academy, I was able to learn about the different aspects of account management, such as building relationships with clients, managing budgets, and developing marketing strategies. I particularly enjoyed talking to Nigel from Fuzzy Duck who introduced us to this line of work, which was further expanded through talking to Louis from Code Computerlove and Kai Ojo from Planisware.

Furthermore, the programme provided me with the necessary skills to pursue a career in account management, such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I was able to practise and develop these skills through the programme’s various sessions and of course, in our live brief for Manchester Virtual Schools.

In conclusion, I am grateful for the opportunity to have joined Agent Academy, which has helped me discover a career path that I would have never considered before. I am excited to continue exploring this field and see where it takes me in the future.
