Rise has proven time and time again to be an effective way for young people, who are feeling locked-out of the industry, to gain the relevant experience, skills and contacts to land their dream career!

As we prepare to launch our next Greater Manchester programme this summer, we want to give you the low-down on all things Rise. Here’s everything you need to know before you submit your all-important application!

You’ll learn the fundamentals of marketing and understand what employers want.

Our industry designed and delivered curriculum means that you will learn exactly what the industry needs from its future talent and be able to match your skills to this. Rise learning will cover four main elements of strategy, creative, digital and campaigns. Think audience engagement, design thinking, web fundamentals and campaign creation. This curriculum will give you knowledge and skills that can be easily transferred and put into practice in so many different industry careers.

You’ll work with a real-life client, producing a portfolio of work that proves you have the expertise industry needs!

Not only will you learn from our expertly curated curriculum but you’ll also have the opportunity to utilise all of your learning and apply it to your real-life client brief, working in real-time to deliver this. This will enhance your CV and potential at the interview as you will have newfound knowledge, experience, and understanding to shout about! Sounds good, doesn’t it?

You’ll meet and network with the industry’s most prominent experts and leaders.

Whilst skills and experience are key, it’s also important to have relevant contacts. As the saying goes, “it’s not what you know, it’s who you know”, right? That’s why you’ll have the opportunity to be part of expert and leader talks, masterclasses and workshops, enhancing your knowledge and making sure you’re future-ready. Through these sessions, you’ll be inspired by leadership experiences and you’ll gain expert advice to help you deliver your client brief. It’s a win-win situation.

It’s 2 days a week, for 12 weeks.

We understand that committing all of your time might be asking for a lot, which is why we’ve made Rise accessible to those who need to work or have family responsibilities to keep up whilst they up-skill. Rise happens two full days each week, so you can fit it in around your other life commitments at the same time as reaping all the benefits!

Knowing the right thing to say in an interview is always difficult, especially without help and advice. We’re here to give you top tips on how to ace the interview process and we’ll give you 1-to-1 mentoring to make sure your CV stands out from the rest!
